And the winner is!

Before we get on with the contest results I wanted to let you all in on some impressive news:

SickKids-482x240
Including both online and in person donations collected at Panic on Pendrith, we not only managed to reach our fundraising goal, but we surpassed it!  Since then, we have raised the goal limit and will continue to accept online donations, as well as donations at any future events.  A huge thanks to everyone who has contributed in our efforts to raise money for SickKids Foundation!

We would like to thank everyone who entered our first ever Spooktacular Costume Contest!  We received a ton of amazingly awesome entries and they were loads of fun to look at.  Some of you, even if you didn’t win, have such dedication to homemade costumes! Below are just a handful of some of the costumes:

This incredibly detailed 80’s Transformer costume was so great that I actually sent the pic to my mom, who back in the actual 80’s, made a (less detailed) Transformers costume for my brother (who proceeded to throw a tantrum when he realized he couldn’t actually transform)!

kdkid

This Kraft Dinner kid’s costume was so awesome that it literally made me hungry!

Pasta Toddler also made us hungry, but we were somewhat full from the entire box of KD we made (and possibly devoured)!

Most of the entries were fantastic. This one was pure garbage! ;)

You can see the rest of the entries on our Facebook page.  But alas, there can only be two winners.  So, with that we are pleased to announce the 1st and 2nd place winners, who have been contacted so that we may get their prizes to them:

In 2nd place, the winner receiving 4 passes to Reptilia is:

timburtonfamily

Aren Ayers and her family of nightmares!

We here at Benevents are super huge Tim Burton fans.  In fact, I have a huge collection of Nightmare Before Christmas things.  Therefore, we think your kids look ghoulishly great!  Thanks so much for entering our contest Aren and we look forward to getting your free passes to Reptilia to you.  I’m not sure who’s scarier though; your family or the tarantulas they may see on their visit!

And the 1st place grand prize winner of the Neal Brothers Foods package and 4 passes to Reptilia is:

pawpatrol

Georgina Maria and her Paw Patrol posse!

I must admit, I don’t know a whole lot about Paw Patrol, but I do know this: Georgina, you literally married a cartoon character!  His costume game is on point.  And while your costumes may not have been the scariest on the block, we truly appreciate it when a whole family dresses up together!  Thanks so much for entering our contest Georgina and we are so happy to be getting your prizes to you because now I don’t have to constantly watch over my husband to make sure he doesn’t steal any of the yummy goodies from the Neal Brothers bags!

Once again, a huge thanks to everyone who entered and to both Neal Brothers Foods and Reptilia for their generosity!  Check back on the Benevents site in the future for info about upcoming contests and insanely awesome events that your whole family will love.  As always our mission is to have fun while raising funds.
